As a representative you are the face of an established insurance brand to the people it serves: union members, veterans, and families across Canada and the United States. The role is worked from home, and what it asks of you is organization and discipline rather than a commute.

Leads, training, technology and ongoing support all come from the company. Your part is the human part, which is connecting with prospective clients, working out what they actually need, and helping them choose benefit programs that protect the people they care about.

Estimated earnings in the first year sit between CAD 67,000 and CAD 70,000 based on how you perform.

What you will be doing

• Reaching out to leads the company provides, and scheduling virtual benefit consultations
• Running those consultations through Zoom
• Explaining the available programs clearly so clients can enroll with their eyes open
• Serving union members, veterans, working families and members of established partner organizations
• Setting clear activity and performance goals alongside your regional manager

What we look for

Prior insurance experience is not a requirement; the training is comprehensive. The representatives who do best are coachable, dependable, and comfortable in conversation with clients.

• Find it rewarding to walk someone through a decision about money and cover
• Keep yourself organised when nobody is watching the clock
• Know your way around a computer well enough to host and run a Zoom meeting
• Have spent time in work that involves people, such as sales, customer service, hospitality or recruiting

Licensing and eligibility

Selling requires the life-insurance license for your province or state. Hold it already and you are set; if not, we will walk you through what qualifying involves and help you find a workable route. You also need to be legally entitled to work in Canada or the United States.
