Picture the week. Leads land in your queue, you book consultations around your own schedule, and each one is a video conversation with somebody who asked to speak to us. Between those calls you are reviewing what each client actually needs and preparing how to explain it. That is the job, and it is done entirely from home.

You would be representing an established insurance brand that looks after union members, veterans and their families on both sides of the Canada-US border. Ambition is useful here. An office is not.

Estimated first-year earnings run from CAD 67,000 to CAD 70,000 and track your individual sales performance.

Your responsibilities

• Working company-provided leads into scheduled benefit consultations
• Holding those consultations over Zoom
• Setting out the benefit programs clearly enough that clients can make an informed enrollment decision
• Serving union members, veterans, working families and people from our partner organizations
• Building activity and performance goals with your regional manager

The kind of person this suits

Previous insurance experience is not required, because the training covers it. The specialists who thrive are coachable, dependable and genuinely at ease in conversation with clients.

This may fit you if you:

• Express yourself clearly in writing, on a call and on video
• Get something out of helping people understand a financial or benefit decision
• Are disciplined enough to run your own diary without supervision
• Handle basic computer tasks and are comfortable in Zoom
• Bring experience from sales, customer service, hospitality, recruiting or any people-facing work

Licensing and eligibility

The life-insurance license for your province or state is required, either held already or obtained with our help. If you are unlicensed, we will take you through what the process involves and point you to a sensible route. Legal authorization to work in Canada or the United States is required.
