This is a career you build from home rather than a stopgap. Representatives here work with an established insurance brand serving union members, veterans and their families throughout Canada and the United States, and the people who succeed are the organized and self-disciplined ones.

Everything you need to sell is supplied: leads, training, the technology and continuing support. The job is to reach prospective clients, understand their circumstances and help them pick benefit programs that protect their families.

First-year earnings are estimated in the range of CAD 67,000 to CAD 70,000 based on individual sales performance.

Day to day

• Working through company-provided leads to book virtual benefit consultations
• Meeting prospective clients on Zoom
• Laying out the benefit programs clearly so enrollment decisions are informed ones
• Looking after union memberships, veterans, working households and people from our partner organizations
• Agreeing clear activity and performance goals with your regional manager

• Entirely remote, worked from your home
• No traditional cold calling

Who we want to hear from

Insurance experience is not needed. Training is comprehensive and covers what you do not already know. The representatives who really thrive are coachable, dependable and comfortable speaking with clients.

You may suit the role if you:

• Make yourself understood easily, in writing and in live conversation
• Care about getting someone to a confident decision rather than a quick one
• Structure your own working day and then stick to it
• Are confident with everyday software and with running video calls
• Have a background that involved dealing with people directly, in whatever industry

Licensing and eligibility

A life-insurance license for wherever you are based is a condition of the role. Plenty of people apply without one. We explain how qualifying works and point you towards a route that fits your circumstances. You must also be legally entitled to work in Canada or the United States.
